In case you miss it, these were the best Halloween costumes of the year worn by your favorite celebrities. If you still have some parties to attend you can get inspired by these!
Halloween just passed and like every year celebrities brought all their style and creativity to deliver the best costumes ever! Not only will they be remembered for the posterity, but they will also become next year’s (or this weekend’s, if you still have some last minute parties) costume inspiration.
Since last weekend, our favorite celebs started posting their cool costumes (some of them wore different ones throughout the weekend) and we just can’t have enough of them. Some of these "A-Listers" resorted to classic Halloween characters, others to beloved icons from pop culture, and others, as you will see, decided not to leave their political agenda and embrace it with awesome costumes. So, without further ado, take a look at this year’s cool parade of celebrity Halloween costumes.
Heidi Klum and Tom Kaulitz
We have to begin, of course, with the ultimate star, the one and only Queen of Halloween, Mrs. Heidi Klum. The German super model always takes her costumes to the next level and this year was no exception. For her, there's no such thing as "being to extra", so she and her boyfriend Tom Kaulitz got covered on prosthetics for her famous Halloween party. It just took them a few hours for them to bring Fiona and Shrek to life. The detail and precision in Klum's costumes is mesmerizing. I mean, just look at the baby ogres. So adorable!
Bella Hadid and The Weeknd
Talking about cute couples, Bella Hadid and The Weeknd gave us the best Beetlejuice and Lydia version so far.
Crissy Teigen and John Legend
Crissy Teigen’s bubbly personality and John Legend’s sense of humor merged in a very cute and funny version of their royal highnesses Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip.
The Kardashian Klan
These Californian sisters have been known for investing so much effort in their costumes, but this year the Kardashian/Jenner clan kept it simple with jus a few of Victoria Secret’s lingerie to give the emblematic "Angel" look.
Beyonce and Jay Z
Remember what I said about political agendas? Well, the Carters did it with all the style and class that characterizes them. First, Beyoncé uploaded some photos of her as the legendary Toni Braxton, which made people go crazy about how awesome they looked, including Braxton herself. Yet, the most powerful photo was that the couple uploaded together as Olympic athlete Florence Griffith (who in 1988 set both the 100 m and 200 m records that still stand) and Tommie Smith (gold-medal athlete famous for giving the Black Power salute in the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico). Talk about power-couples!
Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner
This couple was one of the cutest for this Halloween season. The first look was that of Joe Jonas impersonating his fiancé by dressing as Sansa Stark from Game of Thrones while she went as a cute elephant. Their coolest costume, however, came the next day when they dressed up as Gomez and Morticia. They really nailed it, just take a look at the details in their costumes.
In my opinion, Lupita Nyong’o and her amazing costume as Dionne from Clueless (1995) just won the category of 90's Nostalgia.
Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake
Family costumes always make us awe and the Timberlakes joined the trend. Not only are their Lego suits really amazing, but all together they’re just the perfect family portrait.
Post Malone was quite a popular costume this year, and it’s impossible not to see why. Anyways, of all the Post Malone I saw I think Rita Ora’s was definitely the best and with so much detail.
How amazing it must be to have the person you’re disguising as complementing your costume. That was the case of Harry Styles when the one and only Elton John twitted about how amazing he looked.
Modern Family star, Ariel Winter surprised her fans on Instagram with a photo of her dressed as Pamela Anderson (which later Kim K also made her own recreation) and her boyfriend as Kid Rock, which wasn’t that well received on media. Still, the actress replied it was just for fun and uploaded her second costume from Scarface.
Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka
Neil Patrick Harris always has the best family photos ever. Just look at their compilations, they’re always perfect. This year, Harris, his husband David Burtka, and their adorable twins dressed up as characters of the Haunted Mansion and it was "spooktacular". Later on, the couple changed costumes to attend Heidi Klum’s party as Westley and Inigo Montoya from The Princess Bride.
Though Paris Hilton isn’t a thing anymore, we can’t deny she won’t quit and that’s worth to applaud. For this year, the heiress dressed up as our nineties favorite, the adorable (for just a couple of hours) Furbys. Both, costume and the disguised are so antique… Oops!
Dance Moms’ star and Sia’s mini-me was everything with her amazing costume of Mathilda Lando from León: The Professional. She seriously looked identical.
Mel B and Gary Madatyan
Former Spice Girl dressed up as other former Spice Girl and her famous husband. The quality of the costume was meh, but we can all agree with the messages on the costume, which is getting the Spice Girls together!
Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams
Most original costume goes to, Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams who went as Taco Belle, you get it? So creative and fun!
It’s so bad that Vanessa Hudgens didn’t upload the photo in colors, but even in black and white, she looks so cool. She went as Alice when she grows so big inside the White Rabbit’s house. Really original.
The famous DJ, Diplo gave us all sorts of 2000s vibes with his Hulk Hogan costume. Some muscles less, but quite close I must say.
Black Panther was also one of the most common costumes this year after the success of the film and not even celebrities missed the chance of recreating the amazing attires of Wakanda. Ciara and her family definitely rocked the Wakanda style with their costumes.
Finally, we have Kelly Osbourne who didn’t miss the chance of honoring the American Horror Story Franchise with her costume of Myrtle Snow from Coven and now Apocalypse. She looked really cool as that amazing character.
Celebrity costumes are always so detailed and well thought (well, most of them) that it’s hard not to see them as inspiration. Which one was your favorite, and which one would you recreate?
